Company History
In November, 1997 the company moved to a new facility in a NYS Economic Development Zone located at 460 Oak Street, Rochester, NY and purchased a tool building company – Erdle Manufacturing Company, Inc.

Erdle was founded in 1942. It was one of the first tool and die shops in the Rochester area to build an injection mold. The company operated at 46 Latta Road, Rochester, NY.

In October 2002 Empire Precision planned to purchase the building at 460 Oak Street and enlarge the facility from 25,000 sq. ft to 40,000 sq. ft. The company was awarded a NYS Economic Development grant and the occasion was marked by a visit from NYS Governor Pataki. The program fell apart immediately as the site was simultaneously selected for the location of Paetec Park – a multi purpose stadium and home of the Rochester Rhinos professional soccer team.

In January 2003, Empire Precision Plastics, Inc. and Erdle Manufacturing Company, Inc. were merged into one company called EPP Team, Inc dba Empire Precision Plastics.

Negotiations for a future location for Empire Precision began in November 2002 and were completed in February 2004. These negotiations included $795,000 in funding to cover moving expenses from Maguire Properties, NYS Economic Development Fund, Monroe County and the City of Rochester.

December 2004; moved to current location at 500 Lee Road, a former Delphi building that is nearly 500,000 square feet. Our new location has 42,500 square feet and the facility is easily expandable.
Empire was founded in November of 1992 – The belief was that there was a need in the marketplace for a custom injection molding company which could offer design support, mold building that achieved part design requirements and was capable of mass production with consistent and repeatable quality.
